The Team
The UTS BSoc Executive Team is comprised of five Officers who handle the organisation and governance of the Society and eight Directors who oversee the operation of their respective portfolios areas and teams.

Matt Wedlock
Matt's Bio
As the President of the UTS Business Society, Matt oversees the leadership and governance considerations of initiatives and annual administration activities of the society.
He works closely with the Executive team to deliver initiatives that holistically enrich the social lives and career aspirations of business students, guided by the best interests of our members and stakeholders.

Annabelle Druce
Annabelle's Bio
Annabelle works closely with the President and other executives and aiding in the organisation and management of the society.
This includes liaising with the Chairperson to ensure internal operations are optimised and morale is high, as well as assisting with the planning and creation of large social and professional events, run both on and off campus.

Alyssa's' Bio
Alyssa’s role within BSoc is to work closely with the President to ensure financial stability. This includes paying creditors and budgeting for both social and formal events.

Phee's Bio
Phee’s role as the chairperson includes coordinating team development activities, resolving any disputes that may arise between the committee, supporting the President and the senior executive team and chairing the monthly executive and general committee meetings throughout the year.

Yash Moodley
Yash's Bio
Yash’s team focuses on the academic side of BSoc, aiming to assist students to get a head start in their course. Most of our initiatives enhance student’s study skills and familiarising themselves with a new learning environment.
Yash and her team release two important publications each year; First Year’s Handbook & Majors Guide to provide vital information on students’ social and academic experience.

Annabelle Alam
Annabelle's Bio
As Marketing Director, Annabelle is in charge of promoting all of BSoc’s events for the year. This involves coordinating portfolios, creating content for BSoc’s social media platforms and writing blog posts for our website. Annabelle is also the Graphic Designer for all of the event graphics, as well as IT director who looks after the BSoc website.
With the help from his team, Annabelle manages the marketing of over 30 events a year!

Lara Klaser
Lara's Bio
Lara’s role involves organising events and partnerships to raise awareness and money for BSoc’s chosen charities. Alongside her team, Lara seeks to embody BSoc’s social consciousness and create awareness around current ethical issues in the business world.
This year her team is looking to integrate social justice across all aspects of BSoc.

Izzy Sherbon
Izzy's Bio
In Izzy’s role as Socials Director, she handles all of BSoc major parties and events. Hoping to inject a more fun side to university life, Izzy and her team organise everything from the BSoc First-Year Camp to our 700 person Frat Party and the Business Ball at the end of each year.

Brayden Gossling
Brayden's Bio
Brayden’s portfolio hosts networking events throughout the year and directly connects with companies to promote graduate and internship opportunities through BSoc’s social media channels.
The main events each year include the Careers Guide Launch Night, Mentoring program, High Achievers Breakfast and they also help BSoc’s sponsors to host bespoke events and case competitions.

Nick Barclay
Nick's Bio
Nick’s portfolio handles the event co-ordination of sport related events within BSoc. They give many students, across societies and universities, a chance to network and become friends through sport.
This involves supervision of activities such as Bubble soccer and formulation of social sport teams.

The education portfolio focuses on the academic side of Bsoc, aiming to assist students get a head start in their business degree. Much of the initiatives of education are focussed on first year business students, consequently, assisting them in their transition to university. The education portfolio releases two major publications: the majors guide and first year’s handbook, in doing so providing vital information based on the experiences of students in later years.

The Careers Portfolio is the professional development arm of UTS BSoc and aims to empower students and members to become well-rounded, confident and sharp young professionals as they enter the workforce upon graduation. This portfolio seeks to embody the business societies social conscience. We aim to create awareness around current ethical issues in the business world, as well as develop professional skills for our members in preparation for their future careers. Social Justice also aims to compliment other portfolios such as the Socials and Sports portfolios in creating fun events to maintain social groups and offering a fulfilling university experience.

The Sportfolio gives members the chance to meet new people from other societies and universities through social sports. Our BSoc social sports events are a great chance for students of all years to connect with their peers. In the winter break our intervarsity sporting competition will see our members compete against students from other universities in a range of social sports
